The GAA in Tyrone Raising the Red Hand IN THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY
The first decades of the twenty-first century have seen Tyrone emerge as a consistent force to be reckoned with at the very highest levels of Gaelic football. This volume, The GAA in Tyrone: Raising the Red Hand, recounts the remarkable successes of Tyrone teams during this period, in particular the winning of the Sam Maguire Cup in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2021. It records the story of the amazing and sustained transformation of the Association in Tyrone, including the raising of the quality of the infrastructure of the GAA at club and county level and the increasing role of the Association in the social life of communities throughout the county. In addition, it includes colour photographs of Tyrone's winning teams at provincial and national level over the past twenty years and detailed statistical appendices covering Tyrone teams and club and county competitions since the establishment of the Association in the county in 1904.
